Mishawaka provides our residents with a high-value, low-cost service
for the weekly curbside collection of recyclables, trash, and garbage,
large furniture and appliances, and yard waste. Families receive
all these weekly services for less than $125 per year. Residents are billed three times per year at the rate of $9.56 per month plus a fuel recovery fee, with a senior
rate of only $7.65 per month (plus the fee).
The Fifth Street Recycling Center and the Household Hazardous Waste
Facility continue to provide a convenient location for residents
to dispose of tree limbs, brush, recyclables, and household chemicals.
It has also begun accepting old computers, calculators and similar
electronic devices.
Mishawaka residents are also able to recycle corrugated cardboard
and magazines by delivering them to the Recycling Center. While dropping off these materials, you may want to pick
up free firewood and chipped wood mulch.
