Features: Named for a popular high school coach, the park features excellent tubing and cross-country skiing capabilities in the winter months with a newly-expanded warming shelter that includes both furnace heat and a stone fireplace for keeping warm. Prime location for astronomers to study stars. The park is lighted at night and includes ample parking, drinking fountains, an internal pay telephone, a 55 foot teepee-like windbreak, picnic tables, enclosed children’s playground and play equipment, and nature trails. In the non-winter months, an 18 hole, par 66 Disc Golf course is open until dusk with discs for sale in the Gate House.
