* St. Joseph Regional Medical Center is building a new state-of- the-art facility that will serve 11 counties in our region which will consolidate the existing South Bend and Mishawaka campuses. Some services and programs are expected to stay at these facilities, but it is undetermined at this time. Ground was broken in early 2006 and completion is scheduled for 2009. The new 633,000 square foot facility will offer a full range of both inpatient and outpatient services. The hospital’s total investment is expected to exceed $355 million.
