THE BOARD OF PARKS & RECREATION

The governing body for the Mishawaka Parks & Recreation Department is the Board of Parks and Recreation. Initiated in 1967 by City Council through an ordinance, the Board is responsible for development and maintenance of a parks and recreation system for the City of Mishawaka.

BOARD OF PARKS AND RECREATION

The Board of Parks & Recreation meets the 2nd Monday of the month to facilitate policies and practices as well as preside over new and old business for the Department. Please note that the October meeting is held the 3rd Monday of the month instead of the 2nd to observe the nationally scheduled holiday of Columbus Day. Additional meetings scheduled during the month are to accommodate approving and accepting of departmental docket claims. These are noted with an “*”. See below for a complete list of 2009 dates.
