REGULAR MEETING OF THE MISHAWAKA
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY/UTILITY BOARD
April 5, 2016

 

The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety/Utility Board was called to order by President Gary West at 10:05 a.m. Mr. Watson and Mr. Prince were not in attendance. Mr. West said due to the Board not having a quorum, no business would be conducted.

Bid Opening:
One bid was opened for the disposal of one or more surplus distribution transformers for the Electric Department and is summarized below:

  • BASE: TBD-AMM per KVA (for non-PBC units that test 0 to 49 PPM)
    *Use current AMM (American Metals Market) prices upon pick up

ALTERNATE (deduct): Cost to process PCB contaminated units (if applicable)

  • $0.3516 per lb (for PCB contaminated units that test 50 to 499 PPM)
  • $1.0516 per lb (for PBC units that test 500+ PPM)

Mr. West said this bid will be forwarded to the Electric Department for their review and consideration.

Bids were opened for 2016 Summer Street Paving Program Street Repair Materials and are summarized below:

Mr. West said these bids would be forwarded to the Engineering Department for their review and evaluation.
