Clerk Block read a letter from the Board of Zoning Appeals; 

  • A letter from the Board of Zoning Appeals regarding recommendations from their May 9, 2017 meeting.

Cliff Zenor presented the Historic Awards;

7.   Ordinances on First Reading  

Clerk Block read the following ordinances by title and opened the public hearing;

PO NO. 2017-18 Reduction of Funds – Park and Recreation - $350,000.00

PO NO. 2017-19 Additional Funds – Rainy Day Fund - $350,000.00
(Assigned to Budget and Finance Committee)

8.   Resolutions  

Clerk Block read the following resolutions by title and opened the public hearing;

Clerk Block stated the petitioner emailed a request to postpone the resolution to the June 5, 2017 council meeting.

10.  Privilege of the Floor - Non-Agenda Items  

 Bob Acrey, 513 State St. voiced his concerns about traffic being rerouted onto State St. from East Mishawaka Ave. because of construction.

11.  Unfinished Business  None

12.  New Business  

Woody Emmons stated his neighborhood meeting would be May 18th at 7:00PM at Berkley Circle. The speakers will be WellPet and the City of Mishawaka Administration.

Matt Mammolenti announced the Third District Neighborhood Meeting will be May 17th at 7:00PM, in the Twin Branch School. The speaker will be Officer Brad Haney from Metro SVU.

Ross Deal announced the Mishawaka Police Memorial will be May 18th at 6:00PM.

Ross Deal stated there will be a Land Use Planning Committee Meeting on May 22nd at 6:00PM in the council chambers at City Hall. The meeting is concerning the use variance for Piper’s Automotive.

This meeting will be aired Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 9:00am on the Public Access Channel.
