Deputy Clerk Hazen read the following letters of recommendation;

  • A letter from the Board of Zoning Appeals regarding recommendations from their August 8, 2017 meeting.
  • A letter from the City Plan Commission regarding recommendations from their August 8, 2017 meeting.

Deputy Clerk Hazen opened the public hearing;

A Public Hearing on Vacation 2017-02 as required by State Statute on behalf of City of Mishawaka, commonly known as a portion of Borley Avenue south of Donaldson St.

The public hearing closed at 7:08pm.

Clerk Block read the following proposed ordinances by title and assigned to committee;

Deputy Clerk Hazen read the following proposed ordinance by title and and read a letter from the petitioner to postpone until the 09-05-2017 council meeting;

P. O. NO. 2017-29 Annex and Zone – 914 & 916 E. McKinley Ave To I-1 Light Industrial
(Petitioner Requesting Postponement)

10.  Privilege of the Floor - Non-Agenda Items  

James Wright, Bugle Lane commented on the boat launch and parking area at Merrifield Park being too small. He also stated there needs to be signs that specifically say do not feed the geese with an ordinance number.

12.  New Business  

Ron Banicki made a motion to change the regular meeting of September 4th to Wednesday the 5th due to Labor Day. Seconded by Matt Mammolenti, motion carried.
