City of Mishawaka Hires City Attorney

Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood and Corporation Counsel Geoff Spiess announce the hiring of John J. Roggeman to the position of City Attorney. Roggeman replaces Larry Meteiver, who resigned in December, 2015 to take a position in his hometown of Elkhart, Indiana.

Ribbon Cutting for Mike Watson Central Services Facility

Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood and Street Commissioner Tim Ryan have announced the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mike Watson Central Services Facility. The ceremony will take place Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the new facility located at 700 Union Street starting at 4:00pm and will be followed with an open house and facility tours until 6:00pm.

Mishawaka Utilities Pole Attachment Audit

Mishawaka Utilities Electric Department has begun conducting a pole attachment audit which will run through approximately December 1st. Alden Company will be the contractor performing this work...they have been issued magnetic car stickers and signed letters describing who they are and the work being done.

Central Park Ribbon-Cutting and Reopening

The City of Mishawaka will reopen a renovated Central Park to the public on Friday, July 3rd at 9:15 pm. Sunset was chosen as the time in order to show off some of the new lighting including color changing LED lights located on the pedestrian bridge by the dam and the new programmable fountain in the park. The ribbon cutting will take place in the middle of the Park just west of the large rope climbing structure and the public is invited to attend. It is our hope is that hundreds of people will assist in cutting the ribbon.
