Youth Sports


YOUTH TACKLE FOOTBALL: Registration for this fall program is from April through July 31st. It is open to children entering 2nd-6th grades in the fall and who live within the School City of Mishawaka boundaries. A physical is required annually for this program, as well as a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Confirmation of grade advancement is required prior to conditioning. Conditioning starts August 5th with practices beginning typically the first week of school. This program teaches the basic fundamentals of football and has become a feeder system for Mishawaka High School’s football program. Registration fee is $75.00; however, a sliding fee scale is available for additional children playing in league.

FLAG FOOTBALL: Registration for this fall program will be August 17th through August 23rd. It is open for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Practices begin shortly after registration and will be held in Merrifield Park. Games will be on Saturdays, typically in September and October, and will be held in Merrifield Park. Registration is only $25.00 per child.

Challenger Sports
CHALLENGER BRITISH SOCCER CAMP AUGUST 2ND -6TH
Mishawaka Parks & Recreation has teamed up with Challenger Sports to provide soccer instruction for Pre-K through 6th Grade. Challenger is the leading provider of summer soccer camps in the United States, Canada and Australia with over 2,000 communities hosting British Soccer Camps for some 100,000 players. Challenger provides campers with consistent, high-quality, age-specific soccer instruction, along with equally important elements of character, cultural, and nutritional education.  Campers will participate each day in the ever popular “World Cup”!  Each player receives a FREE soccer ball, t-shirt, camp gift and camp evaluation.  FREE SOCCER JERSEY WITH ONLINE REGISTRATION UP 45 DAYS PRIOR TO CAMP!  Come sharpen your skills with us this summer and sign up TODAY!!!  To register, click on the Mishawaka Parks & Recreation Camp Registration page.

Registration forms will be available in the Parks Administrative Offices after May 1st.  All registration fees mailed in or made in person at the Parks Office must be by check and made payable to “Challenger Sports”.  A percentage of all fees collected will be given to Mishawaka Parks to help continue our development of quality youth programming.  Please note that a Mishawaka Parks & Recreation Waiver and Release must also be completed for each camper prior to August 2nd. 

Camp Details:
This activity will be held in Merrifield Park and replaces the former TOT SOCCER Program.  The following camps are available:
